IBM i Operating System Upgrades – Planning and executing OS version upgrades (e.g., moving to the latest supported IBM i release), including pre-upgrade compatibility checks, backup verification, 3rd party SW updates, upgrade scheduling to minimize business disruption, and post-upgrade validation testing.
PTF (Program Temporary Fix) Management – Ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and application of PTFs and cumulative PTF packages to keep systems current with IBM's latest fixes and security patches, including Group PTFs, Technology Refreshes, and HIPER (High Impact Pervasive) fixes, with testing in non-production environments prior to deployment.
